Peak Fire Safety

Protecting Your People, Your Building & Your Future

FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT

You have to ensure there is a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment that details the fire safety provisions that are in the property. This is best carried out by a 3rd Party Accredited professional fire risk assessor.

FIRE STRATEGY REPORT

The reports will contain the fire strategy and review compliance of the architectural floor plans, sections, elevations and site plan. This will demonstrate compliance of these aspects in accordance with the functional requirements of Part B of the Building Regulations.

FIRE COMPARTMENTATION SURVEYS

As part of your comprehensive fire risk assessment an inspection of the overall condition of the existing fire compartmentation will be carried out.

DSEAR ASSESSMENT

Compex qualified and experienced in working in dangerous atmospheres our assessors will work with you and the relevant industry experts to formulate a management plan to assess and deal with any areas that are identified as hazardous. We will establish hazard zoning plans and safety measures to follow.

PERSONAL EMERGENCY EVACUATION PLAN

A PEEP may be needed for someone with an impairment or disability which will impede their ability to recognise and respond to an emergency. These can be temporary, and the plan must not rely on the Fire and Rescue Service intervention.

OCCUPANCY CALCULATIONS

We can calculate the occupancy capacity for your venue or event and incorporate this into your Fire Risk Assessment, using our knowledge of the building regulations and human behaviour.

FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM ASSESSMENT

All systems must be routinely tested to make sure they are in proper working order. The relevant British Standard recommends that this is carried out weekly or as is determined by the fire risk assessment. There are penalties for non-compliance.

Fire Door Inspections

Fire doors are life safety systems and form a vital part of a building’s passive fire protection system. They prevent the flow of smoke and fire and help compartmentalise a building to provide a safe means of escape for its occupants. They are essential in all buildings and must be regularly inspected, tested and maintained to meet the requirements of article 17 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005.
